Horizontal directional drilling
Faster and cheaper than standard excavation methods
Without Destroying the Area
Trenchless method
This technology allows for the implementation of various types of installations (water pipelines, sewage systems, gas pipelines, power lines). Wherever it is impossible to make an open trench for pipes or cables. The entire process takes place underground, we avoid all terrain obstacles. If we want to drill, e.g. under a road, this solution is the best idea because there is no need to stop traffic.
Precise Process
With the Measurement System
The systems we use enable real-time tracking of the entire drilling process. Drilling angle (azimuth), head tilt angle and current depth. Radio technology is used here.
More Efficient Work
Shorter time compared to conventional methods
Work thanks to directional drilling is much more efficient, the customer has more time for other work.

Horizontal
Directional Drilling
Horizontal directional drilling is a modern technology that involves drilling a horizontal pilot hole. Professional horizontal drilling is a type of directional drilling and belongs to the group called trenchless technology. This is a technology that is used in many areas. Thanks to the use of the latest control and measurement systems, the trajectory of the drilling we perform, along with the location of the starting point, perfectly coincides with the design of the planned drilling. HDD (Horizontal Directional Drilling) technology allows you to perform this type of directional drilling in highly urbanized areas. Read on and see the professional directional drilling performed by our company.
What are
Horizontal
Directional drillings?
Thanks to this technology, we can significantly shorten the pipeline route without destroying the area. The entire process takes place underground, precisely following the drilling route, avoiding all terrain obstacles. If we want to drill, e.g. under a road without obstructing traffic, this solution is the best idea because there is no need to stop traffic.
FURTHER ADVANTAGES ARE:
- not disturbing the area, there is no need to incur costs related to repairing damage that may occur during excavation methods,
- lower price in cases where traditional methods will not work,
- directional drilling allows for much more efficient work, the customer has more time for other works.
How does directional drilling work?
The first process is to design the route along which the pilot drilling will run. The next step is to drill through the previously planned route (making a pilot hole). The drilling is performed by a special controlled head (rods with a fin). The head is controlled by a transmitter with a programmed route. Thanks to this probe, it is possible to locate and improve the trajectory so that the drilling is as accurate as possible. After drilling, a "reaming head" is installed in the borehole, which is intended to widen the hole to a diameter to accommodate the planned pipe.
What happens to the spoil excavated by the head?
During directional drilling, "bentonite mud" is fed to the head to transport the excavated material, stabilize the tunnel and cool the drilling rig. After drilling the pilot hole, the mud hardens, strengthens the entire drilling, and helps in easier installation of the pipeline.
When is it worth doing professional directional drilling?
We use HDD technology: in highly urbanized areas, when overcoming obstacles in the form of communication routes, in areas with a dense network of various installations, when crossing rivers and canals, when overcoming mountains and hills, when we run network installations through areas that, due to the natural resources should remain intact. The directional drilling method allows for relatively quick execution of work related to laying the pipeline with little disruption of the surface thanks to the relatively small diameter of the hole.
Our Company Offers:
DIRECTED DRILLING SERVICES
